Iranian ‘Echo’ becomes finalist at Fleurieu filmfest

The Fleurieu Film Festival in Australia announces Iranian ‘Echo’ as finalist.

The finalists for the Fleurieu Film Festival in Australia have been announced with Iranian short animation ‘Echo’ being one of them.

Barzan Rostami’s short film will run for an award at the International competition section of the Australian event’s 4th edition.

The 7-minute film is about understanding and perception of wildlife and environmental abuse, as well as its consequences on human race.

‘Echo’ has already been shown at a number of global events, including the Smaragdni Eco film festival in Croatia, the R.E.D International Film Festival in Norway, the Snake Alley Festival of Film in the US, and the International Tour Film Festival in Italy.

The flick’s screening at the Southern Cone International Film Festival in Mexico brought it the Best Short Film award.

It also grabbed a Special Jury Prize at Polish Wlodzimiers Puchalski International Nature filmfest.

And, the Pink City International Short filmfest in India bestowed its Best Sound Designing award upon the film’s sound engineer, Hossein Ghourchian.

Launched in 2016, the Fleurieu Film Festival is an arena for emerging filmmakers to present their works.

This year’s screenings and the Awards ceremony of the fest is slated for February 13 and on the 14th, the workshop associated with the event will take place.
